This summer, for a cool change, take a dip in The Beach – a monochromatic installation of 1.1 million recyclable polyethylene balls that make an ocean to float in without getting wet and gently lapping against a 60-metre wide shoreline free of sand.

Barangaroo is partnering with the Sydney Festival again this year to bring you the festival’s most spectacular free event – a trip to the shore reimagined by Snarkitecture, a New York-based art and architecture collaborative practice.

This Australian exclusive event is free for all ages between 10:00am – 5:00pm Tuesdays to Sundays (closed Mondays). Last admission for free entry is at 3:30pm.

Early Access ticketed sessions: each morning Tuesdays – Sundays (closed Mondays) there’s an all-ages ticket session from 9am, and ticket holders to this session are welcome to stay as long as they wish.

Afternoon all-ages ticketed sessions: these family-friendly sessions run for an hour on 17-18, 22 and 24-26 January at 5:30pm for a limited duration of one hour.

Evening ticketed sessions: to visit The Beach after hours, you can buy a ticket to the 18+ only sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings. These sessions have a limited duration of 90 minutes.
