About

CLOSED MONDAY

Take a walk through a life-size model Metro carriage on display at Nawi Lawn in Barangaroo Reserve as part of Sydney Metro’s school holiday program.

The 13-tonne model is a full-scale version of the state-of-the-art Metro train which will be stopping at Barangaroo’s station from 2024. The Metro network will be fully automated and is Australia’s biggest public transport construction project.  Some sections of the Metro line, which will go from Bankstown to Chatswood, are due to be open by 2019.

There is plenty for everyone at the Sydney Metro Sydney Festival stand with the opportunity to get on board, go behind the scenes with virtual reality and find out more about the Metro project.
